Norton Atlas GT Overview

The upcoming Norton Atlas GT is an adventure bike for riders who want a sizeable engine, adjustable suspension and equipment for varied routes. Its 69 bhp output, five riding modes and 220 mm ground clearance make it a more powerful option than the Moto Morini X-Cape, while its 200 kg kerb weight is below the Aprilia Tuareg 660’s 204 kg. Dual-channel ABS can help prevent both wheels locking during hard braking.

A claimed 23 kmpl and 354 km riding range offer a guide to fuel stops, but actual results may vary. The 15-litre tank is smaller than the rivals listed, and the 845 mm seat may be a stretch for shorter riders. The Moto Guzzi V85 TT has slightly better claimed mileage at 23.8 kmpl. An 8-inch touchscreen with navigation, cruise control and adjustable suspension add touring appeal, but the Atlas GT’s expected price has not been announced, so its value position is unclear. It is expected in December 2026 and is not on sale yet.

  • Claimed 23 kmpl mileage and 354 km range offer a fuel-use reference.
  • Dual-channel ABS helps prevent both wheels locking during hard braking.
  • Five riding modes let riders select settings for different conditions.
  • Adjustable front and rear suspension allow setup changes for different routes.
  • An 8-inch touchscreen includes Bluetooth and turn-by-turn navigation.
  • Cruise control can help maintain speed on longer rides.

What we like

  • 69 bhp is more than the Moto Morini X-Cape’s 59.17 bhp.
  • At 200 kg, it is lighter than the listed adventure rivals.
  • Tubeless tyres and a tyre-pressure monitoring system are included.
  • A stepped pillion seat has footrests and a grab rail.

What could be better

  • The 845 mm seat may be difficult for shorter riders to reach.
  • Its 15-litre tank is smaller than those of the listed rivals.
  • It has less power than the Suzuki V-Strom 800 DE and Aprilia Tuareg 660.
  • Expected pricing is not announced, and the bike is not on sale yet.

Best for: The Atlas GT is best suited to riders seeking a well-equipped adventure bike for touring and varied routes who can wait for its launch and final pricing.
