Ducati SuperSport Overview
The Ducati SuperSport is aimed at riders who want a high-performance road bike with selectable modes rather than a basic commuter. Sport, Touring and Urban modes offer different riding settings, while the 108.62 bhp engine, six-speed gearbox and quickshifter form its performance package. Dual-channel ABS, cornering ABS, traction control and wheelie control add electronic safety support. Its TFT display also offers Bluetooth and turn-by-turn navigation.
Both variants share the same engine, claimed 17.8 kmpl mileage, 210 kg kerb weight and 810 mm seat height; the S gets Öhlins suspension instead of the Standard’s Marzocchi and Sachs setup. The weight and claimed mileage are worth considering for frequent city use and running costs. It is priced below the Streetfighter V2, which makes more power at 118 bhp and weighs 10 kg less. The Hypermotard 950 has better claimed mileage at 19.6 kmpl, but a taller 870 mm seat.
- Sport, Touring and Urban modes let riders select different riding settings.
- Dual-channel and cornering ABS support braking control at both wheels, including in corners.
- Traction control and wheelie control add electronic intervention under acceleration.
- The 4.3-inch TFT offers Bluetooth and turn-by-turn navigation.
- The S variant’s Öhlins suspension is fully adjustable for setup changes.
What we like
- Strong 108.62 bhp output and a six-speed gearbox.
- Quickshifter is included.
- Cornering ABS, traction control and wheelie control are standard features.
- Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation are available.
What could be better
- At 210 kg, it is heavier than the 200 kg Streetfighter V2 and Hypermotard 950.
- Its claimed 17.8 kmpl mileage is below the Hypermotard 950’s 19.6 kmpl claim.
- The 16-litre tank is smaller than the Hayabusa’s 20-litre tank.
Best for: Buy it if you want a high-performance road bike with selectable riding modes, extensive electronic safety aids and a choice of suspension setups.
