Triumph Scrambler 1200 Overview
The Triumph Scrambler 1200 is aimed at riders who want a high-output scrambler for weekend rides and varied riding modes, rather than a lightweight, easy-to-park commuter. Its 89 bhp and 110 Nm give it a clear performance advantage over the Triumph Scrambler 900, while Rain, Road, Sport, Off-Road and Rider modes let the rider tailor the settings to different conditions. Dual-channel ABS helps prevent both wheels from locking during hard braking, and a quickshifter reduces the need to use the clutch for gear changes.
The trade-offs are substantial weight and a tall 820 mm seat, which may make it less manageable for shorter riders or frequent stop-start use. It is priced below the Ducati Scrambler Nightshift but above the Ducati Scrambler Icon. Against the Scrambler 900, it is heavier and has a seat 30 mm higher. Phone connectivity and navigation are optional, and there is no under-seat storage.
