Ducati Multistrada V2 Overview
The Multistrada V2 is an adventure bike for riders who want a powerful twin, touring aids and electronic safety features, rather than a lightweight daily runabout. Its 890cc engine makes 113.98bhp, and dual-channel ABS works on both disc brakes. Cruise control, traction control and a quickshifter are included. The S adds Wet and Enduro modes, plus a colour TFT with smartphone connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation; the Standard uses a 5-inch TFT.
At 222kg and with an 830mm seat, it may be demanding to manoeuvre at a standstill, particularly for shorter riders. Ducati lists claimed mileage of 17kmpl and a claimed 340km range, so fuel use remains a consideration. Compared with the Tiger 1200, the V2 has less power but a lower seat and lighter kerb weight. Its base variant is priced below the DesertX, and the V2's seat is lower, making it the less tall of these two Ducati options.
- Dual-channel ABS helps prevent either wheel locking during hard braking.
- Front and rear suspension each offer 170mm travel for uneven surfaces.
- Preload adjustment at both ends allows suspension setup changes.
- Claimed 340km riding range gives touring plans a stated range reference.
- S adds phone connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation on its colour TFT.
- Quickshifter supports upshifts and downshifts without clutch operation.
What we like
- 113.98bhp and 92.1Nm from its 890cc twin.
- Cornering ABS, traction control and cruise control are listed.
- Stepped pillion seat has footrests and a grab rail.
- 19-litre tank and claimed 340km riding range.
What could be better
- The 830mm seat may be a reach for shorter riders.
- 222kg kerb weight may make low-speed manoeuvres more demanding.
- Claimed 17kmpl mileage is below the Tiger 1200 and BMW F 900 GS Adventure figures.
- The Standard does not get the S variant's connected display and navigation.
Best for: Buy it if you want a well-equipped Ducati adventure bike for touring and are comfortable managing its seat height and weight.
