Bajaj Pulsar N125 Overview

The Pulsar N125 gives commuters a more performance-focused 125cc option while retaining features aimed at everyday use. Its 11.83bhp and 11Nm are slightly higher than the Pulsar 125’s listed output, and its claimed 60kmpl is better than that rival’s claim. At 125kg, it is lighter than the Xtreme 125R, while its 198mm ground clearance is higher than that bike’s 180mm. Digital fuel and trip information, a USB port and LED lighting add practical touches.

The 795mm seat is not especially low, and the 9.5-litre tank is smaller than the Xtreme 125R’s 10 litres and Super Splendor Xtec’s 12. Braking combines a front disc and rear drum with CBS, not ABS. Its claimed mileage is below the Xtreme 125R and Super Splendor Xtec, but above the Pulsar 125. It is priced around the Pulsar 125 and Xtreme 125R, and above the Super Splendor Xtec and Passion Plus.

  • 11.83bhp and 11Nm give it slightly more listed output than the Pulsar 125.
  • Claimed 60kmpl is higher than the Pulsar 125’s claimed 50kmpl.
  • At 125kg, it weighs less than the Xtreme 125R’s 136kg.
  • 198mm ground clearance is higher than the Xtreme 125R’s 180mm.
  • USB charging and digital fuel and distance-to-empty displays support daily use.

What we like

  • More listed power than the Pulsar 125 and Xtreme 125R.
  • Lighter than the Hero Xtreme 125R.
  • USB charging and useful digital fuel and trip information.
  • Claimed mileage exceeds the Pulsar 125’s figure.

What could be better

  • CBS braking, with no ABS listed.
  • Rear brake is a drum rather than a disc.
  • Claimed mileage is below the Xtreme 125R and Super Splendor Xtec.
  • Its 9.5-litre tank is smaller than those of the Xtreme 125R and Super Splendor Xtec.

Best for: Buy it if you want a commuter-focused 125cc bike with stronger listed output than the Pulsar 125 and useful everyday technology.
