BGauss C12I Overview
The BGauss C12I is an electric scooter aimed at everyday city use, with three variants that let buyers choose between a lower entry cost and more claimed range. The C12 i Ex claims 85 km per charge, while the two larger-battery versions claim 123 km. All have a 60 km/h top speed, so this is better suited to urban trips than fast highway riding. Its portable battery, under-seat and front storage, and pillion footrests and grab rail add practical touches for daily use.
The longer-range versions take 6.30 hours for a full charge, and braking relies on CBS with drum brakes at both ends. The top claimed range is below the Joy e-bike Mihos’s 130 km, but above the Numeros n-First’s 109 km. The C12I is less powerful and slower than the Vida VX2, though its 765 mm seat is lower than the Vida’s 777 mm. Its entry variant is priced above the Bajaj Chetak C25 and around the Vida VX2.
- Max variants claim 123 km of range, giving more headroom between charges than the entry version.
- The battery is portable, offering more flexibility in where charging takes place.
- A 765 mm seat is lower than the Vida VX2’s, which may suit shorter riders.
- Under-seat storage holds 23 litres, with a separate front storage box for small items.
- Rear suspension has four-step adjustment to suit different loads and preferences.
- Battery warranty is three years or 30,000 km.
What we like
- Three variants offer a choice of claimed range and battery capacity.
- Portable battery and included portable charger add charging flexibility.
- Pillion footrests and grab rail are provided.
- Under-seat and front storage support everyday errands.
What could be better
- The 60 km/h top speed is lower than the Vida VX2 and Numeros n-First.
- Both wheels use drum brakes, with CBS rather than a more advanced braking system.
- The larger-battery variants take 6.30 hours for a full charge.
- The highest claimed range is lower than the Joy e-bike Mihos’s 130 km.
Best for: Buy the BGauss C12I for city commuting if you want a choice of claimed range, a portable battery and useful storage, and do not need a high top speed.
